A warm welcome to all our new and returning families!
At the International School of Florence, education goes beyond the classroom. The ISF Parent Association (PA) is a vibrant, multicultural group of enthusiastic parents and guardians from all over the world, bringing together different nationalities, languages, talents, and skills.
If you are a parent at ISF, you are already a member! There are no registration forms or fees—being part of our school community automatically qualifies you. We understand the unique journey of international families, and we are here to help each other discover and navigate this beautiful city we all share, through the common bond of our children.
Our Mission
The ISF Parent Association supports the educational goals and strategic vision of the school. We partner closely with faculty, staff, and students to:
- Facilitate clear communication between the school and families.
- Plan and support enriching school events.
- Provide a welcoming, inclusive social environment for everyone in our community.
What We Do
Throughout the school year, the PA plans, hosts, and assists with some of ISF’s most anticipated traditions and events, including:
- New Family Welcome Breakfasts (helping you settle into the community!)
- Autumn Bazaar
- Annual Field Day
- Fundraising Gala
- Performing Arts Events and celebrations and many more
Get Involved: How You Can Help
We know that everyone has different schedules, but volunteering your time, even just an hour, makes a massive difference. Being connected to the school through the PA offers a unique opportunity to grow within the community alongside your children.
Parents can volunteer to support teachers and students inside and outside the classroom by:
- Partnering with Teachers: Meeting to discuss and help fulfill needs for upcoming classroom or school activities.
- Organizing & Coordinating: Rallying parent volunteers for specific activities or helping manage funds for school events.
- Staying Connected: Attending our regular PA meetings and fostering open communication among parents.
- Building Community: Encouraging participation in school events and welcoming new faces.

Whether you want to take on a leadership role, help out at a single event, or simply meet other parents and share your ideas, your voice is valuable.
We all volunteer our time when possible, driven by the same vested interest: the happiness and success of our children.
