More than 70 Years in Florence
Founded in 1952 and rooted in Florence since 1963, ISF became an IB World School in 1983. Today we welcome students across two historic campuses, blending more than seven decades of tradition with a forward-looking, internationally minded community. It is a story of community, of belonging, and of a school that has grown alongside the city it calls home.

Learning for our Shared Future
At ISF, education is about more than individual achievement. We learn together — students, teachers, staff and families alike — engaging deeply with ideas, with one another, with Florence and with the wider world. Our aim is to prepare young people to contribute with confidence, compassion and integrity to the complex world they will help shape.

Beyond the Classroom
Campus Experience
Our two historic campuses give students room to learn, create and play. From Early Years and Elementary School at the Bagno a Ripoli campus, to the Middle and High School at the Upper campus in the heart of Florence.
And the city itself becomes a classroom, where local culture and real-world community projects bring learning to life.
