We are delighted that you are interested in learning more about the International School of Florence and what we have to offer your family!
The International School of Florence serves the educational needs of both international and local families. We welcome children of all nationalities whose families are internationally-minded and committed to an international education where the primary language of instruction is English. Choosing the right educational environment and program for your child is an important decision and on our website you will find information to help you through that process.
It is always a pleasure for the Admissions Team to welcome families to our school campuses. We typically arrange tours on a one-on-one basis as this gives us the opportunity to discuss what is most important to you when choosing a school. If you would like to schedule a tour of one of our campuses, please contact the Admissions Team to confirm a date and time for your visit!
We look forward to hearing from you!
Head of Admissions
ISF offers programs for qualified students aged 3–19. At the Junior School (Early Years 1-Grade 5), we offer the Primary Years’ Programme (PYP) that is structured around six transdisciplinary themes which are significant and meaningful to all students. The Italian Program (IP) begins in Grade 1 and from the 3rd Grade, the IP students work towards the preparation of a 5th Grade Italian exam, the Esame di Quinta, preparing Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Italian grammar and writing during their one daily Italian lesson, according to national requirements. In Middle school (Grades 6-8) we offer the choice of the Italian Program or the International Program, which have many similarities in terms of subjects, content taught and the allocated time on the timetable. In High School, students (Grade 9-10) follow the pre-IB program, in preparation for the IB Diploma Program (Grades 11-12).
