At the International School of Florence, we believe that balanced nutrition is fundamental to your child’s academic day, energy levels, and long-term well-being. Our lunch program is structured across both campuses to encourage healthy eating habits while strictly meeting regional health standards.
Junior School Lunch
Students at our Junior School campus are strongly encouraged to participate in our hot lunch program, which is managed by an external catering service. This program is highly flexible and can easily accommodate specific student dietary needs with alternative menu options.
- Home Lunch Option: Alternatively, students are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home. To support our healthy campus initiative, we kindly ask families to pack nutritious snacks—such as fresh fruit, vegetables, yogurt, cheese, and juice—while refraining from sending potato chips or sweets to school.
- Early Years Spaces: Our youngest learners in the Early Years cohorts (tadpoles and froglets) enjoy their lunch times in a specialized, designated lunchroom.
- Menu Design & Distribution: To ensure peak nutritional value, our entire menu has been expertly developed by a certified dietician.
Upper School Lunch
For our older cohorts, the ISF Café is fully available for daily lunch breaks, providing a comfortable space for students to refuel and socialize.
- Delivery Policy: In strict accordance with Italian Health and Safety regulations and to reinforce our commitment to healthy eating habits, students are not permitted to order food for delivery to the school from outside providers.
- Menu Quality: Just like our primary campus, the Upper School menus are systematically developed by a dietician to ensure compliance with Italian Health and safety regulations.
