Lunch Program
LUNCH AND SNACK AT THE JUNIOR SCHOOL
The lunch service at the Junior school is based on the local school’s set menu with some additions and is composed of a choice of two first, second course and a couple of vegetable options. Students are encouraged to use the hot lunch provided by the food company that also offers alternatives for specific dietary needs. Students are also allowed to bring their own lunch. Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack such as fruit, vegetables, yogurt, cheese, juice (no potato chips, sweets) and a healthy lunch. EY1 and EY2 children eat lunch in their own lunchroom.
Please see below the instruction to be registered (new students) or re-registered (returning students) for the lunch service:
NEW STUDENTS: Please subscribe to the Portale Genitori portal or app. Instructions on how to register can be found at this link. Please note that a new user takes at least half of a day to be activated so you might not be able to access the account straight away.
RETURNING STUDENTS: The registration to the Portale Genitori portal needs to be renewed for the new academic year. Please see the instructions below to confirm your child registration to the lunch service for the school year 2023/2024:
- Log in into the Portale Genitori portal using your credentials created last year
- Click on Registry on the top menu and Renew memberships from the drop down menu
- If the Tax code is correct, please proceed by click on Perform renewal
- Verify your email address by inserting your email address or change to another one and Request code
- A verification code will be sent to your email address, please insert it into the tab
- Click on Perform renewal bottom to confirm the registration.
Once the re-registration is confirmed, you can download the instructions on how to charge your child’s account. Be reminded that any absence must be communicated through the Portal or the app by 9 am on the day of the absence. Otherwise, the meal will be automatically charged.

Please see below the instruction for registering for the lunch service:
Returning students: The app has remained the same. Please make sure your child has enough credit to purchase the snack and lunch on the first day of school. We kindly remind G7-8 students to bring back the lunch card distributed last year.
New students: Please download the ISF CAFÈ app from Apple Store or Play Store. Instructions on how to register can be found at this link.
The APP can be installed on more than one phone using the same user and password, so parents can recharge their children's credit using their own phone. Please note that you can monitor your child’s lunch choices through the app.
Students from Grade 6-12 will not be allowed to use their smartphones during school hours, therefore, they must use either the printable QR code physical cards that are linked to the digital account.
In further support of the school mobile phone policy, students can either present a physical lunch card provided by SIAF last year or print off the QR code (to be downloaded from the app) to make purchases. Parents can charge or top up the accounts for their children through the app as well as track what has been purchased. Alternatively, physical (not attached to apple wallet etc) credit and debit cards are also allowed. In this case, please note that in this case it won’t be possible to have a log of the purchases. Use of mobile phones with the QR code will not be permitted as payment.

In case your child has run out of credit on the Siaf Café App and you are not able to recharge the credit remotely, they can add money through credit cards or cash at the Siaf Café.
