At ISF, fostering leadership skills and promoting an active lifestyle go hand in hand. Grades 3-5 students play a key role in organizing and running activities that encourage their peers to stay active and healthy. These young leaders meet weekly to brainstorm and plan exciting Junior School events like the Fun Fall Fitness Festival and Field Day. During these meetings, they also discuss ways to enhance recess time, ensuring it is used for physical activity and movement.
The students' leadership extends beyond just planning; they take responsibility for executing these events, helping to create a culture of health and fitness among their peers. Through this hands-on experience, they learn valuable skills such as teamwork, organization, and problem-solving, while also reinforcing the importance of physical well-being.
