Cantabile Choir

The ISF CANTABILE is a representative school choir. Its mission is to inspire through music. It is a choral program for voice-gifted students at ISF who wish to receive training in the art of singing. Students who pass the audition will develop their vocal talents with other students, and benefits from learning the importance of self-control and self-mastery, teamwork, community spirit, analytical thinking, confidence, focus and discipline, as well as cultural awareness through exposure to attentively selected musical repertoire. The artistic and chief Director is Ms. Tanja Kustrin, in collaboration with the Cantabile pianist Linda Morus.

The Cantabile Choir made its debut performance at a gala charity dinner for the Meyer Children's Hospital at Villa Castelletti in 2018. The Choir also took part in the Festival di Primavera in Montecatini, in Florence at TedX and performed in Sabina Sciubba’s project “Force Majeure”. The ISF Cantabile, together with the artistic director Tanja Kustrin, took part in the Hershey Felder’s musical film “Dante and Beatrice in Florence” where they performed together with the Grammy awarded soprano Hila Plitmann.

Ms Tanja Kustrin is the Artistic director of the Cantabile Choir, who always captures the audience with her charismatic direction and inspiring repertoire. Her many successes include two significant choir awards, recordings, collaborations with important musicians and choirs on the international musical scene. She has founded and conducted children's, youth and adult's choirs, sharing her contagious enthusiasm, knowledge and energy. A firm believer in the power of music, Ms Tanja Kustrin established the ISF Cantabile Choir in September 2018 as a way to provide an opportunity for upper elementary and middle school students to further develop their singing skills and to raise the visibility on the international music scene.
