MARKETING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

The International School of Florence (Italy) seeks an outstanding and experienced Marketing and Events Coordinator to work with the Advancement and Communications team in a dynamic international school setting.

Job purpose

The new Marketing and Events Coordinator will support the development and delivery of marketing and events within the school by supporting the Advancement Director and Communications team. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, as part of a team and the ability to project manage. Graphic design experience with Adobe Suite (In Design, Photoshop) is required for this role as well as maintaining and enhancing the school website through different forms of media and storytelling.  

It is ideal for a creative person who thrives in a varied educational environment and is passionate about customer service. This is a great opportunity for a marketing professional who wants to enhance their experience of all elements of the marketing mix within a school setting. 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • A University degree in Communications or Marketing

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the field of marketing

  • Experience with the IB programmes (DP and MYP) strongly preferred

  • Graphic design experience with Adobe Suite (In Design, Photoshop) is required to produce high quality school publications and promotional materials

  • School Website maintenance, design and development  ensuring site aligns with the goals and objectives of the school

  • Skilled in video production and post production

  • Bilingual in both English and Italian 

  • High levels of collaboration, collegiality, and collective responsibility.

HR ASSISTANT

The International School of Florence (Italy) seeks an experienced HR Assistant to work with the Business Office Team in a dynamic international school setting.

Location: Upper School Campus (Florence) and Junior School (Bagno a Ripoli)

Key Focus

The HR Assistant list is in charge of supporting the HR Specialist in the personnel administration management, from the onboarding of new international employees to the processing of the payslips. They will support ISF staff regarding matters related to the work contract and how to manage working life in Florence and the related information  (english speaking doctors, tax advisors,..).

Main duties

  • Monthly attendance records (presences, absences, holidays, sick days, …)

  • Contracts preparation (new hires, appointments, collaborators)

  • Communication of relevant information to colleagues

  • Maternity leave administration

  • Payroll and compensation for external collaborators

 Duties  could change and would require a different  arrangement  with the staff  based on the needs of the school administration

Personal attributes and skills 

  • Fluent English (written & spoken) is essential 

  • Experience with Zucchetti/Team Systems software for personnel attendance

  • Excellent usage of Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Planning and  organization skills

  • Communication skills

  • Multitasking abilities

Required

Former experience of 3 or 4 years in HR administration department

Conditions of Employment

The position is part-time for 25 hours/week, temporary contract (12 months; at the end of the contract an evaluation will be conducted to determine whether to offer another 12 months contract or a permanent contract)  Aninsei is the national work contract applied integrated with ISF additional conditions (longer holidays, lunch tickets).

Belonging to “categorie protette” (protected categories) is a plus.

Substitute Teachers

The Junior and Upper Schools are looking for well trained, licensed and experienced teachers to serve as an occasional substitute teacher for the 2021-22 school year.  Candidates must be already residing in Florence. You can submit an expression of interest using the details below. Interviews will be scheduled with select candidates.

Essential skills and experience:  

  • A relevant first degree and teaching qualification   
  • Excellent communication skills in English, equivalent to Level C1 (CEF)  
  • Hold a current partita IVA for contractual purposes  
  • You must be able to work at short notice

Preferred skills and experience:  

  • Minimum 3 years of full time teaching experience in an international school environment      
  • Experience with the IB programmes (PYP, MYP or DP) strongly preferred
